Effective Date: June 24, 2025

Welcome to Drunk Pastor (“the Site”). This page lays out the terms by which you’re invited to explore, read, subscribe, and download here. Your use of the Site constitutes your agreement to these terms.
1. Audience & Content
Drunk Pastor is the home of personal essays, reflections, theological and philosophical analysis, curated free Christian resources, and updates.
- I share honest, sometimes raw writing about recovery, addiction, trauma, questions of faith, cultural critique—with occasional strong language and adult topics.
- Intended for readers aged 13 and up.
2. Subscription & Email Communications
By subscribing, you opt in to receive emails: blog updates, book announcements, updates, and resource releases, and more.
You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in each email—no hard feelings.
3. Digital Downloads & Products
From free church toolkits and sermon graphics to paid digital offerings and book excerpts:
- Everything is digital only—no shipping…for now.
- All sales are final—once a download is available, refunds aren’t possible.
- If something’s broken, contact me and I’ll help sort it.
4. Privacy Policy & Data Handling
I don’t sell, share, rent, or trade your information. Ever.
- Your email is stored securely—only used for content you asked to receive.
- I may use anonymized analytics (page visits, time spent, etc.)—only to improve the reader experience.
- No third‑party sharing. Period.
5. Monetization & Reader Platforms
In addition to reader support (e.g., Patreon), affiliate links to my book and site infrastructure tools, I participate in the Google Reader Revenue monetization program. All such relationships are disclosed transparently. Your privacy remains fully protected.
6. AI Transparency & Creative Process
I write every word personally. I edit personally. Every piece is me.
However, I also use:
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for graphics, layouts, eBooks, and church freebies, which sometimes means AI.
- AI tools for research assistance, drafting ideas, stylometric tuning, and brainstorming.
AI is best described as an assistant—a tool I use—but every word, nuance, and final decision is authored, refined, and owned by me. I follow professional business and academic best practices throughout.
7. Copyright & Share‑Alike
All original content (text, graphics, downloads) is © Paule Patterson III 2024‑2025.
You’re welcome to share freely—with proper credit and a link back.
For church freebies licensed under CC BY‑NC 4.0, you may adapt them for non‑commercial use—with credit.
8. Comments & Community Engagement
Where commenting is available, treat others with dignity and respect. I encourage debating.
Howver, I reserve the right to remove anything for any reason, especially unfactual, unreasonable, hateful, harassing, or violent language at my discretion.
9. Disclaimers & Liability
This site is for personal expression, reflection, and theological exploration, and occasionally offers coaching or spiritual counseling, or other services, insights based on my background and experience.
- I am not a licensed counselor. While I am a former pastor, trained in multiple mental health modalities, and nearly completed ACLC certification in Montana, I currently operate informally and conversationally.
- I’m also a certified QPR (suicide prevention) trainer.
- The content here, including guidance or encouragement, is not professional therapy, medical advice, or legal counsel.
- Use of this site and any downloaded material is at your own risk. I am not liable for any damages—direct or indirect—that may result from engaging with this content.
10. Updates to These Terms
I may update these terms from time to time. The “Effective Date” above reflects the current version, and continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept them.
